The DKS01.1-W030B-DL01-00 digital servo drive is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It regulates torque, speed, and position of synchronous motors in automated cells by converting a 230 V AC input into a controlled PWM output. Integrated control algorithms, nonvolatile parameter memory, and onboard diagnostics allow the unit to serve as the motion core inside packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and general machine tools. The controller interprets motion commands and adjusts motor current so axis movement remains stable during acceleration, deceleration, and holding periods. Its compact housing fits into electrical panels where space is limited.

The drive draws up to 12 A from the 230 V AC (±10%) supply and can deliver a continuous motor phase current of 30 A. Power devices switch at 18 kHz, which lowers audible noise and improves torque resolution. This switching behavior also supports smoother motor operation at low speed than lower carrier frequencies typically allow. Regenerative energy is routed to an internal bleeder that dissipates 0.3 kW continuously and withstands 5 kW peaks during emergency stops. That bleeder absorbs excess energy returned by the motor during deceleration and helps protect the DC bus from overvoltage. Heat from the power stage is removed through passive cooling, so no dedicated fan is required. The reduced noise emission rating supports use in operator-level cabinets.

Within the unit, the DC link is stabilized at 300 V DC to support steady energy exchange between the rectifier, inverter, and bleeder circuits. The enclosure has an IP10 degree of protection, which limits ingress to objects larger than 50 mm while allowing natural airflow through the cabinet. Full-load operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to +55 °C when the installation altitude does not exceed 1000 m; above either limit, current derating is required. Storage is permitted from −30 °C to +85 °C when the drive is not powered. Internal thermal loss, exclusive of the bleeder stage, reaches 230 W, so panel ventilation must remove that heat during sustained operation. The drive is Version 1.
