Product Description:
The DKR03.1-W100 is a digital intelligent AC drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKR Drive Controllers series. It conditions three-phase power and manages speed, torque, and position control for high-performance servo and spindle motors. This allows the controller to support machine tools and other industrial automation systems that require accurate motor response during changing loads. At a switching frequency of 4 kHz, the drive can supply a continuous output current of 71 A and supports motor output of about 26 kW. Its control functions let the connected motor follow commanded motion with stable regulation during acceleration, steady running, and deceleration.
The internal logic and I/O use a separate control supply of 230 V AC, which keeps the low-power control circuits separate from the main power section. Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower that forces cooling air through the heat sink and helps maintain acceptable semiconductor temperatures during operation. The power section is designed for three-phase mains from 400-480 V AC with a tolerance of plus or minus 10 percent, matching common plant distribution systems. The unit is design version 1 in line 03, and the airflow path around the heat sink should remain unobstructed inside the enclosure.
For cabinet planning, the controller dissipates 900 W of heat that must be removed by enclosure ventilation. Its mass of 49 kg affects mounting arrangements, so the rear panel and supporting hardware need to carry a substantial static load. The drive section has a nominal rating of 100 A, which is useful when selecting protective devices and power cabling. Panel layout should leave enough space for air movement and for secure fastening at the mounting points. The combination of heat output and mass makes enclosure placement an important part of installation planning.
