Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the DKR03.1-F100 as part of the DKR Drive Controllers series. The unit is a digital intelligent AC drive controller used to command servo and spindle motors inside automated cells, converting utility power into regulated current loops that follow motion commands from a higher-level CNC or PLC. In applications such as web-handling lines, metal-forming presses, or gantry systems, it provides closed-loop motor control that keeps mechanical axes synchronized with production demands and improves overall cycle time. That behavior helps maintain repeatable motion where synchronized acceleration, deceleration, and steady speed control are required across connected machine sections.
As a Line 03 device in design version 1, the drive operates at a 4 kHz switching frequency where it can deliver a continuous phase current of 71 A, which is the maximum RMS load the power stage can tolerate indefinitely. Under the same carrier rate, it sustains a continuous mechanical output of 26 kW, supporting mid-range spindle loads. The power section accepts a supply range of 3×AC 400–480 V ±10 %, while auxiliary electronics use AC 230 V ±10 %, which helps separate the control supply from the main power feed. Thermal energy from the IGBT modules is removed by liquid cooling, allowing the enclosure to remain sealed and reducing airborne contamination inside the cabinet.
During short transients, the controller produces up to 900 W of heat that must be carried to the facility chiller. It carries a drive current rating of 100, which is used to size matching supply units and motor cables. Classified as a Digital Intelligent AC Drive Controller, the module has a mass of 49 kg for panel installation. The rated mass also affects mounting hardware selection and requires adequate panel support in vertically arranged control cabinets.
