Product Description:
The DKC02.3-040-07-FW is a modular servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as a member of the DKC Drive Controllers series. It converts three-phase supply power into regulated output for positioning synchronous and induction motors in automated handling, assembly, and packaging equipment. The controller supports precise speed and torque regulation for demanding motion applications. The compact module mounts inside a control cabinet and links directly to higher-level PLCs through selectable communication hardware.
During normal operation, the controller supplies a rated output of 40 A, providing sufficient current for medium-frame motors used in indexing tables and pick-and-place gantries. Inrush and short-term loading are limited by a maximum input draw of 16 A, which simplifies circuit-breaker sizing and feeder design. Internal thermal management removes up to 180 W of heat when the unit is delivering its rated torque range. The electronics remain stable up to an ambient temperature of 45 °C without external cooling aids. These electrical and thermal limits establish the permissible duty cycle when the cabinet is sealed or mounted close to other heat-generating equipment.
The mechanical form corresponds to Design 3, which provides updated control interfaces while retaining the original mounting holes. A pluggable communication slot identified as interface option 02 accepts fieldbus modules, allowing connection to Profibus, SERCOS, or other networks without rewiring the drive section. With a mass of 5.7 kg, the unit can be installed on lightweight backplanes or swing-out panels. As part of the EcoDrive product family, its power stage is optimized for efficient operation and low standby loss. The controller supports continuous current operation, allowing tighter cabinet layouts and reducing the need for auxiliary fans.
