Product Description:
The FWA-ECODR3-SMT-02V46-D5 is a firmware for Bosch drive controllers which belong to the ECODRIVE03 product line. Four different types of firmware are available for ECODRIVE03 controllers: the FLP version which is for drives with integrated NC control and Profibus / parallel interface, the SMT version such as the FWA-ECODR3-SMT-02V46-D5 which is for drives with SERCOS, parallel and analog interfaces, the SGP version which is for drives designed for general automation tasks that have SERCOS, analog and parallel interfaces and the FGP version which is for drives designed for general automation tasks that have field bus interfaces. ECODRIVE03 drive controllers are specially designed for intelligent digital control of synchronous motors having up to 64 Nm rated torque. Peak current ratings of the different controller versions are 200 Amps, 100 Amps and 40 Amps respectively.
Firmware for ECODRIVE03 controllers such as the FWA-ECODR3-SMT-02V46-D5 firmware needs to be ordered separately from Bosch. The reason is that different applications have different needs, and rather than design a general purpose firmware, Bosch has designed different firmware which are applications specific. The nominal data for ECODRIVR03 controllers is valid for up to 45 degrees Celsius operating temperature. The output of the controllers derates when the ambient temperature goes up to 55 degrees Celsius. Operating the controllers at temperatures that exceed 55 degrees Celsius can lead to controller damage and is therefore not recommended by Bosch. ECODRIVE03 controllers are convection cooled devices. Therefore an adequate amount of spacing is required above and below the mounted controllers to ensure smooth airflow which is required for cooling. In special circumstances cooling units might need to be installed to ensure that the operating temperature remains within the limits recommended by Bosch. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
