Product Description:
The DKCXX.3-640-7-FW is a digital drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKC Drive Controllers series. The EcoDrive unit regulates motor speed and torque in automated machinery by converting power from a rectified DC link into a three-phase output matched to servo motor requirements. Within an installation, the controller functions as the axis interface between higher-level CNC or PLC commands and the mechanical load. It supports coordinated motion sequences in packaging lines, printing presses, and material-handling stations.
The power section is supplied from a DC link rated at 700 V, while the output stage can continuously deliver 640 A to a connected motor. This current capacity belongs to design level 3 of the platform. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so the drive must be mounted inside a cabinet that provides suitable protection and filtered airflow. The permissible ambient temperature range for full output extends from 5 °C to 45 °C. Above this range, the device derates linearly and can operate at reduced output up to 55 °C. Operation is permitted at up to 95 percent relative humidity or an absolute humidity of 25 g/m³. The electronics have a protective coating that helps prevent electrical tracking caused by condensation. The control section withstands sinusoidal vibration with a peak-to-peak displacement of 0.3 mm.
Nominal output ratings apply at installation altitudes up to 1000 m. Between that elevation and the maximum installation height of 2000 m, the controller must operate according to the applicable power-reduction curve. The unit can tolerate shocks of up to 15 g for 11 ms without component displacement. It also withstands broadband vibration with an RMS acceleration of 2.2 g. When powered down, the controller can be stored at temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 85 °C. This storage range permits the unit to remain in unconditioned warehouses while protecting its internal electronics from temperature-related damage.
