Product Description:
The DKC10.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS is an EcoDrive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKC Drive Controllers series. It operates as the power conversion link between a three-phase supply and a synchronous servo motor, regulating current, voltage, and carrier frequency so that PLC position or speed commands reach the axis without delay. By modulating the motor phases from its internal DC bus, the unit supports closed-loop motion tasks common in conveyors, pick-and-place gantries, packaging equipment, and other automated handling systems. This makes it suitable for axes that require coordinated speed changes and repeatable positioning during frequent start-stop cycles.
The DC link is held at 300 V, giving the drive a stable energy reservoir for acceleration and regenerative events. Motor windings can be fed with a continuous phase current of 4.3 A, while control signals are reproduced up to 300 Hz so high-speed motors remain within vector control limits. Surplus kinetic energy is routed through an integrated brake element rated at 100 Ω resistance, with 400 Ws capacity and 17 W continuous dissipation, which helps prevent overvoltage on the common bus. A soft-charge network of 4.7 Ω limits inrush when the capacitors energize, protecting upstream circuit breakers and reducing electromagnetic stress. The unit also has a nominal device rating of 18 A, and output line-to-line voltage is capped at 116 V to match low-voltage servo windings.
The housing carries an IP20 ingress rating, so cabinet installation is required. The enclosure is intended for use inside a protected control cabinet rather than direct exposure on the machine. Full output is available until the ambient reaches 55 °C; beyond this point the controller derates to protect its semiconductors. Reliable operation is specified to elevations of 2000 m and relative humidity up to 90 percent without condensation. Weighing 2.1 kg, the unit fits easily into multi-axis racks and occupies 182 mm of height, 70 mm of width, and 170 mm of depth for compact cabinet layouts.
