The DKC10.3-004-3-MGP-01V24 drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKC Drive Controllers series. It is an EcoDrive module that governs servomotor speed and torque in compact automation axes by rectifying, storing, and modulating DC-bus energy. This arrangement lets the controller deliver regulated motor power in small servo systems while keeping the power section and control electronics in one housing.
The controller draws a maximum of 1.1 A from the mains and has a connected load of 0.4 kVA. Inside, a soft-start network with a 4.7 Ω resistor rated at 17 W limits inrush current during power-up. Once energized, the unit supports a continuous DC-bus flow of 140 W and can surge to 500 W of DC-bus peak power. Energy storage is provided by a nominal DC-bus capacity of 0.54 mF charged to a nominal DC-bus voltage of 300 V. For brief overloads, the output stage delivers 3.0 A for 400 ms, while the long-term rated line current remains at 4 A. Dynamic braking is handled by an internal resistor bank with 100 Ω resistance and 17 W of continuous dissipation, and excess energy can be transferred to an external element capable of 1.68 kW of braking-resistor peak power. The unit uses the Multi-interface general-purpose option, revision 01, with interface option 10 and design level 3.
Thermal management is based on 100 W of cabinet dissipation at continuous current and an additional 39.8 W linked to motor losses. The internal bleeder removes regenerated energy at 17 W continuously and can absorb up to 400 Ws of bleeder energy during rapid deceleration, while any excess can be stored briefly as 7.5 Ws of DC-bus energy. Operation is permitted up to a maximum ambient temperature of 40 °C, after which external cooling is required. Installation is simplified by a housing weight of 1.8 kg, and the enclosure still accommodates the bleeder resistor, soft-start circuitry, and DC-bus capacitors within a compact footprint.
