Acting between a PLC and the machine actuators, it executes motion sequences and motor protection functions used in packaging and machining equipment. The controller integrates encoder feedback and fieldbus communication to close the loop and simplify setup in multi-axis EcoDrive systems. This arrangement lets the drive respond quickly to command changes while monitoring motor behavior during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state operation. Because feedback and network functions are integrated, fewer external modules are needed around the drive.
