The DKC04.3-200-7-FW is a digital servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKC Drive Controllers series. It regulates torque, speed, and position of synchronous or induction motors by modulating power from a common DC link. Acting between a PLC and the machine actuators, it executes motion sequences and motor protection functions used in packaging and machining equipment. The controller integrates encoder feedback and fieldbus communication to close the loop and simplify setup in multi-axis EcoDrive systems. This arrangement lets the drive respond quickly to command changes while monitoring motor behavior during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state operation. Because feedback and network functions are integrated, fewer external modules are needed around the drive.

The controller operates on a nominal DC bus voltage of 700 V, which supplies its IGBT power stage. At the motor terminals, it can deliver 200 A continuously, enabling large servomotors or parallel axes to share one inverter. During that duty, the unit dissipates about 960 W of heat, so cabinet airflow must remove this load to prevent thermal derating. Line-side draw peaks at 38 A, which should be considered for fuse selection and cable sizing. Communication and diagnostics pass through interface option 04, providing access to standard fieldbus channels. The high current output supports demanding motion tasks where stable torque and controlled speed must be maintained under changing load conditions.

The control section uses design 3. The drive is part of the EcoDrive platform and includes regenerative braking and standby power reduction. The housing tolerates ambient temperatures up to 45 °C without current derating, so installation inside a sealed cabinet is acceptable if exhaust air remains below this limit. The assembled unit weighs 19.5 kg, which should be taken into account for mounting and cabinet support. This thermal limit is important when the drive is installed near other heat-producing components in a dense control cabinet. Its mass also affects panel layout, especially where rack spacing and structural support must be planned carefully.
