Product Description:
The DKC04.3-100-7-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKC Drive Controllers series. Classified as an EcoDrive unit, it supplies regulated power to synchronous and induction servomotors and closes the current, speed, and position loops used in automated packaging, assembly, and material-handling lines. By converting three-phase energy into a controlled intermediate circuit and then into a pulse-width-modulated output, it allows centralized PLCs to execute precise motion profiles while maintaining a compact cabinet layout. This arrangement supports accurate acceleration, deceleration, and speed regulation across coordinated machine axes.
In the internal brake chopper, the switching element carries up to 2 A during operation and is rated for 250,000 cycles, so regenerative energy from rapid deceleration can be handled repeatedly. Logic and gate arrays draw only 26 W from the auxiliary supply, and stable control is maintained as long as an external source provides 24 V. The intermediate circuit operates around 700 V DC, which comes from the rectified mains and supports dynamic torque changes during load variation. During normal operation, the controller draws a maximum input current of 40 A, dissipates 420 W as heat, and is identified as Design 3 with Interface Option 04 for standardized SERCOS networking.
The output stage can modulate carrier pulses up to 1,000 Hz, enabling smooth control of high-speed spindles and responsive motor operation. Under full load, the inverter produces line-to-line voltages approaching 800 V and delivers a continuous phase current of 100 A to the motor terminals. The maximum ambient temperature is 45 °C for continuous operation, and 55 °C is permitted when current reduction is acceptable. Even with these power figures, the enclosure weighs only 4.5 kg, which helps keep mounting loads low on panel hardware and supports dense cabinet arrangements.
