The DKC04.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS model is specially designed by Rexroth Indramat for the EcoDrive Cs drive system. The controller in conjunction with the power supply module and MSM synchronous motor constructs a highly effective motion control system for various industrial applications. The DKC04.3 drive controller is engineered to operate under the ambient temperature range of 0 to +40 degree Celsius and it can ideally operate under humid conditions (without condensation). The model can take electrical power from both single-phase and three-phase power sources but for this unit single-phase AC 200 – 240 V power connection is recommended. The controller operating at a 3-phase power source reported a short service life and derating. To operate the holding brake of the attached motor, an external power supply module is attached to the unit. The dc-bus voltage of the controller is 300 V and it consumes the continuous power of 796 W. The nominal dc-bus capacity of the controller is 0.81 mF. The DKC04.3 drive controller comes with an internal braking resistor that generates the 100 Ohm of resistance and absorbs the 400 Ws of energy. The DKC04.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS module integrates RS232/485 interface, Analog interface, and a DKC04.3-LK-ITB01 optional card that offers InterBus interface. The Analog and RS232/485 interfaces supply direct control signals and basic data links for drive communications. The InterBus interface ensures fast, deterministic fieldbus exchange in complex industrial automation.
The model DKC04.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS is designed to operate at the rated current of 18 A. The controller housing is protected under the IP20 protection category that provides resistance against 12.5 mm dust particles but it will not provide any protection against liquids. An H1 display is placed in this unit for displaying the operating status of the drive controller. While operating at 4 kHz switching frequency, the device undergoes the power loss of 41.9 W.
