The DKC04.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKC Drive Controllers series. It is an EcoDrive unit that serves as the power and control interface between the supply network and a synchronous or induction servo motor. By converting DC-bus energy into controlled motor output, the module manages torque, speed, and positioning tasks in automated machinery cells and conveyor segments. This allows the connected motor to respond accurately to motion commands during indexing, speed regulation, and repeat positioning.

Internally, the controller operates from a DC link of 300 V, which sets the inverter stage voltage and the insulation spacing used on the power board. The output channel supports a continuous load of 18 A, and the three-phase mains input draws up to 3.1 A under rated conditions. This current capacity suits compact servo axes that need steady continuous output rather than a large power stage. At that continuous current, the heat sink dissipates 750 W of loss power, so cabinet airflow must remove that heat during operation. The unit can operate in ambient air up to 40 °C without derating, and its mass of 2.1 kg helps simplify installation in compact control cabinets.

Application flexibility comes from the controller’s multi-interface, general-purpose firmware, which allows parameter sets for positioning, velocity, or torque control to be selected through serial or SERCOS communication. Version 01 is the initial release for this control package and remains compatible with earlier Indramat setup tools. Communication wiring follows Interface Option 04. With this option, the X2 connector carries analog ±10 V command signals plus encoder feedback lines, which simplifies retrofits that still rely on analog motion cards.
