The DKC04.3-008-3-MGP-01VRS is a digital drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKC Drive Controllers series. It is an EcoDrive unit that regulates current, velocity, and position loops for servo axes used in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling stations. By combining power electronics with closed-loop control, the device interfaces between the plant's 24 V logic layer and the motor windings, converting commands from a higher-level PLC into precise torque output. This arrangement allows the drive to handle axis response directly while the machine control manages motion commands and sequencing.
Internally, the controller is linked to a DC supply rail with a nominal potential of 300 V, and this bus energy is switched through insulated-gate modules that deliver a rated motor phase current of 8 A. During acceleration peaks, the line draws up to 1.3 A, which is useful when selecting upstream protection and supply capacity. Continuous operation generates approximately 200 W of heat, so cabinet airflow must remove that loss to prevent overheating. Thermal qualification is limited to ambient air not exceeding 40 °C, and operation above that point requires derating to protect the power semiconductors.
