The DKC02.3-200-7-FW is an EcoDrive-class drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKC Drive Controllers series. It converts line power into regulated three-phase output for synchronous and induction motors used on assembly stations, packaging machinery, and material-handling axes. By monitoring current, voltage, and thermal conditions, the controller“executes configured drive-control functions for compatible Rexroth Indramat motor systems. This arrangement lets the controller handle both motor power conversion and motion regulation within the same housing.
During steady operation at a 4 kHz switching frequency, the drive supplies up to 100 A of continuous output current. The internal DC link is held at 700 V, and regenerated energy is absorbed by the built-in dynamic brake. A capacitor bank totaling 1.5 mF smooths the link and reduces voltage ripple. Electronics and IGBT losses account for 960 W of heat that must be removed by the enclosure cooling system. Stable link voltage helps the output stage maintain predictable current control when load demand changes quickly. Interface option 02 enables the controller to exchange command and status data with higher-level automation systems without additional daughter cards.
For transient demands, the inverter can deliver a peak current of 200 A. This supports short overload periods during acceleration and deceleration. When surplus energy accumulates, the bleeder circuit diverts it at 120 kW and is supported by a 24 Ohm soft-start resistor that also limits inrush at power-up; this resistor can carry 1 kW without overheating. The DC network supplies a continuous 10.3 kW from a 3 × 400 V source, while the pulse pattern can be modulated to 800 Hz for high-speed spindle operation. A 6 Ohm ZKS resistor discharges the link at shutdown. The controller sustains full ratings up to 45 °C ambient and permits reduced output up to 55 °C in sealed cabinet installations.
