The DKC02.1-030-3-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKC Drive Controllers series and is identified as an EcoDrive unit. In a motion system, it receives command data from higher-level automation equipment and regulates the connected servo amplifier stage, supplying current and voltage profiles that coordinate motor torque, speed, and position. By combining integrated diagnostics with SERCOS communication, the controller supports precise closed-loop operation for packaging lines, pick-and-place axes, and other industrial machinery. This arrangement allows the drive to serve as the link between machine control commands and the motor response required at the axis.

Electrically, the unit delivers a continuous phase output of 30 A. Its intermediate circuit is stabilized around 300 V DC, and the electronics section operates on a nominal supply of 24 V DC. Field wiring to the X3 and X4 terminals can be connected with conductors up to 2.5 mm², and the enclosure has an IP20 rating for cabinet-mounted installations. Closed-loop motion is refreshed every 500 µs by the internal position controller, while the fieldbus accepts new setpoints at a minimum SERCOS cycle time of 2 ms. Real-time process values can also be read through the analog diagnostic port, which swings between ±10 V with a resolution of 78 mV per bit. The encoder interface supports incremental or sine-cosine feedback up to 200 kHz at a signal level of 1 Vss, can supply 5 V DC at 150 mA, and allows cable lengths up to 50 m. This feedback support allows the controller to work with common motor feedback signals used in precise positioning applications.
