Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DKC Drive Controllers series, and the DKC01.3-016-7-FW is an EcoDrive module intended for closed-loop speed and torque regulation of AC servo axes on automated machinery. By rectifying incoming three-phase mains and inverting it again, the unit feeds synchronous motors that require precise current control while keeping installation space low in multi-axis cabinets. The unit provides three output phases on front connectors for direct motor wiring.
The controller accepts line voltages from 200 to 480 VAC at 50–60 Hz and raises them to a nominal DC bus of 700 V. From this bus, it delivers a continuous phase current of 16 A and can generate carrier frequencies up to 1000 Hz for high-speed positioning. Logic circuits draw their power from a separate 24 VDC supply that is limited to 15 W, which helps protect the control section from mains fluctuations. A 100 nF coupling capacitor provides common-mode filtering between the bus and the enclosure. The hardware is design 3 and series 01, and it includes interface option 01 for drive bus communication. Device power dissipation is 80 W, while a 240 Ω soft-start resistor rated at 0.05 kW restricts inrush during capacitor charging. The inverter can return regenerated energy to the supply and can momentarily raise phase voltage to 800 V without exceeding insulation limits.
Peak mains draw during acceleration is limited to 1.7 A, and protective gear may be sized to the short-circuit withstand of 42000 A. Continuous service is allowed up to 45 °C ambient, and operation above this temperature requires derating to preserve semiconductor margins. The aluminum housing measures 65 × 287 × 229 mm and weighs 3.2 kg, which simplifies vertical stacking while still leaving room for the internal bus structure and pre-charge components.
