Product Description:
The DKC01.1-030-3-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the DKC Drive Controllers series. As an EcoDrive unit, it conditions AC line power, forms a regulated DC bus, and switches IGBTs so connected servo motors follow commanded motion profiles. In small pick-and-place machines, packaging stations, and light conveyors, it serves as the central power stage between the motion control CPU and the mechanical axis. The control section supports positioning and speed-regulated tasks by converting digital command values into controlled motor voltage and current.
The controller accepts 1 x AC 230 V incoming mains power and stabilizes it at 300 V on the internal DC bus. That bus is rated for 1.8 kVA of connected load and is buffered by 0.15 mF of capacitance. This internal bus supplies the inverter stage that produces the commanded output waveform for the motor. At a PWM switching frequency of 4 kHz, the unit delivers a continuous motor current of 12 A. If the switching frequency is increased to 8 kHz, the continuous current drops to 11 A because of the added switching loss. A built-in bleeder resistor dissipates regenerative energy with a continuous limit of 0.15 kW, which helps prevent DC-bus overvoltage during deceleration. The controller operates from a single-phase mains supply and is intended for installations that do not use a three-phase feed.
Short-term operating events require higher margins than steady-state duty. The bleeder stage can absorb up to 5 kW (1 s), and the power section can handle feedback energy of 5.0 kWs before protective shutdown occurs. The capacitors store 15 Ws and limit making current to 10 A during energization. Both the rated and peak output channels are limited to 30 A for brief torque surges. Total internal heat production is limited to 100 W under nominal load. Protective monitoring responds when these limits are exceeded so the controller can reduce the risk of excessive thermal or electrical stress.
