The DDS2.1-W200-DA02-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts power from the shared DC link in a multi-axis cabinet into phase-accurate motor currents, while its logic rail keeps the internal processors active for fieldbus communication and fault handling. By regulating motor torque and velocity, the unit connects machine tools, printing presses, and material-handling stations to a centralized automation platform.
During continuous operation, the drive can deliver 65 A, and its power stage tolerates momentary surges of up to 200 A to start heavy loads without stalling. The DC bus must remain within 300 V DC ±15%; this range matches compatible Indramat supply modules and limits switching losses. The drive can dissipate up to 560 W, so cabinet ventilation must remove that heat while maintaining an ambient temperature of 0 to 45 °C. Two analog diagnostic outputs provide real-time current or speed values for measurement equipment. A dedicated brake supply provides 24 V DC ±10% to power motor brakes independently of the main stage. The control electronics draw 500 mA from the positive 24 V line, while each 15 V signal rail requires 150 mA for encoder and resolver sensors. Feedback cables may extend up to 75 m without signal degradation, allowing the controller to serve motors mounted away from the electrical cabinet.
Absolute humidity must not exceed 25 g/m³, and relative humidity is limited to 95% without condensation. The housing carries an IP20 protection code, so the controller must be installed inside a closed electrical cabinet. Operation is permitted below an elevation of 1000 m to retain dielectric strength. The drive may be stored at temperatures from -30 °C to 85 °C, allowing unused units to remain in unconditioned warehouses. Although its magnetic components contribute to its mass, the complete assembly weighs 7.5 kg, which supports secure panel mounting. Electrical overload current can reach 90 A without exceeding the rated capacity of the conductors.
