The DDS2.1-W200-D is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as a closed-loop power module that regulates torque, speed, and position for connected Indramat servo motors in automated packaging, handling, and machining cells. By converting a regulated DC link into three-phase output currents while monitoring encoder feedback, the controller keeps motor motion synchronized with CNC or PLC commands throughout continuous and dynamic operating cycles.
The drive operates on a DC link of 300 V ±15%, matching the supply modules used in the modular cabinet system. Under normal load it provides 65 A of continuous current, and it can sustain 90 A when higher duty cycles are required. Rapid acceleration is supported by a peak capability of 200 A, enabling short indexing moves without current saturation. Heat generated during such peaks is limited by a maximum dissipation of 560 W, so enclosure airflow must be planned accordingly. A 24 VDC ±10% feed energizes the holding-brake circuit, and the brake conductors must have at least 0.75 mm² cross-section to avoid voltage drop.
Internal logic rails draw 150 mA from both the −15 V and +15 V sources and 500 mA from the +24 V supply, figures that determine the sizing of auxiliary power converters. Encoder lines can extend up to 75 m while maintaining signal integrity, offering layout flexibility. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so it must be installed inside a closed panel but allows straightforward heat rejection. The controller functions between 0 °C and 45 °C and can be stored from –30 °C to 85 °C. It tolerates up to 95 % relative humidity and installation heights to 1000 m without derating.
