The DDS2.1-W150-DS01-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts a shared DC bus into three-phase output that governs a matched servo motor, executing torque, velocity, and position loops in real time for industrial handling, printing, and packaging machines. By integrating power electronics, motion control, and communication inside a 105 mm wide chassis, the drive forms a compact axis module for enclosed control cabinets. This layout is suitable for multi-axis installations where cabinet space is limited and coordinated motion must be maintained across several connected devices.

Internally, the drive operates from a shared DC link stabilized at 300 VDC. From that supply, it can furnish a continuous phase current of 65 A and tolerate momentary surges up to 150 A. Command and status telegrams are exchanged over the SERCOS optical interface, while motor position is handled through digital servo feedback and an auxiliary 15-pin D-Sub port provides RS-232 service access. Power lugs use an M5 thread, and panel mounting is done with M6 screws to keep the unit secure inside the enclosure. The housing carries an IP20 rating and accepts an external 24 VDC brake coil supply.

The logic electronics draw 500 mA from the control 24 V rail, and the analog circuitry draws 150 mA each from the separate ±15 V supplies. This separation helps cabinet power planning because the control and analog loads can be accounted for independently. Safe operation is permitted from 0 to 45 °C, and installation is allowed up to 1000 m above sea level. The drive may be stored disconnected from power between -30 and 85 °C. Heat is removed by forced air circulation inside the cabinet, and no external fan is built into the housing. The unit stands 390 mm tall, which supports stacked mounting in standard industrial enclosures.
