Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the DDS2.1-W050-DG01-00 drive controller as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit is a digital AC servo drive controller that interfaces with compatible Indramat servo motors to regulate torque and velocity in automated machinery. By combining closed-loop current control with bus communication, the controller supports programmable motion profiles for packaging, printing, and material-handling lines. Its compact format allows direct integration into a control cabinet without requiring additional mounting adapters.
A nominal DC-link voltage of 300 VDC feeds the inverter stage, while the current loop provides a continuous output of 40 A and permits transient peaks of up to 50 A for rapid acceleration. Thermal energy is removed by internal air circulation, so the drive does not require an external heat sink or fan module. The controller exchanges position and velocity data through digital servo feedback, and a 15-pin D-Sub RS-232 port provides parameter access from a computer or HMI. Brake control uses a 24 VDC supply wired through a 0.75 mm² conductor pair. The mounting and electrical connections include an M5 power terminal and an M6 mounting screw. Motor leads are secured at the appropriate terminal with 5 Nm of tightening torque, while the common power bus requires 3 Nm. The permitted operating ambient temperature ranges from 0 to 45 °C.
The aluminum housing has an IP20 protection rating, which helps prevent accidental contact with internal components while permitting convection airflow. The rectangular enclosure measures 390 mm in height and 105 mm in width, with a depth of 325 mm. The assembly weighs 7.5 kg and can be installed at elevations up to 1,000 m. Storage temperatures may range from -30 °C to 85 °C when the controller is not operating. Brake and power conductors follow separate routing sections within the cabinet, helping maintain organized wiring around the controller. Adequate clearance should be maintained around the enclosure so internal airflow can remove heat during continuous operation.
