The DDS2.1-W050-DA01-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. The device supplies regulated three-phase power to synchronous or induction servo motors, converting command signals from higher-level motion systems into controlled current and voltage. By integrating power electronics, signal conditioning, and diagnostics, the controller supports precise motor acceleration, deceleration, and holding functions required on pick-and-place stations, packaging lines, and general automation axes.

During continuous operation, the drive can deliver up to 40 A of phase current. Power is drawn from a shared DC link maintained at 300 V. An analog control interface accepts ±10 V velocity or torque references, and analog diagnostic channels provide 2 real-time feedback signals for process monitoring. Cooling is handled by internal cabinet air cooling, so the surrounding enclosure must move sufficient airflow to extract switching losses and the 1.5 W consumed by the starting lockout circuit. Safe installation is supported by a mounting torque of 5 Nm on the heat-sink screws, and a 15-pin D-Sub RS-232 connector is provided for parameter upload. In dynamic events, the controller can supply a peak of 50 A for rapid acceleration, but protective electronics interrupt the gates if the lockout contact exceeds its 1 A limit. The electronics sit behind an enclosure rated IP20, which is intended for clean, dry control cabinets where maximum relative humidity must stay below 95 % and absolute humidity must remain below 25 g/m³. Altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level are permitted without performance adjustment, and storage is allowed between -30 °C and 85 °C when the unit is powered off.
