The DDS2.1-W025-DS29-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It installs inside a control cabinet and works with matched Indramat servo motors to execute position, speed, and torque commands in industrial automation systems. By supplying regulated three-phase power from an intermediate DC bus, the controller links motion commands from the machine control to the connected motor and the electromechanical load. This arrangement supports coordinated axis motion in handling systems, packaging equipment, and other machines that depend on repeatable servo control.

Communication with the machine control is established through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, allowing deterministic cyclic data exchange, parameter data transfer, and drive status reporting. Inside the cabinet, the unit relies on internal cabinet air circulation, so enclosure airflow must carry away the generated heat while the DC link holds a nominal potential of 300 VDC. When dynamic motion profiles demand additional torque, the drive can deliver a peak current of 25 A. Motor position is returned through digital servo feedback, and the onboard electronics draw 150 mA from -15 V, 150 mA from +15 V, and 500 mA from +24 V control rails. For axis safety functions, an external brake can be energized through a dedicated 24 VDC supply, which the drive routes to the motor's holding mechanism. Ambient operation allows up to 95 % relative humidity, an absolute moisture limit of 25 g/m³, and installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level without derating. The permissible operating envelope is 0 to 45 °C, and storage is allowed from -30 °C to 85 °C.
