Product Description:
The DDS2.1-W025-D is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In an automation cell it modulates three-phase power, exchanges status through ready contacts, and delivers brake supply lines so that servo axes can accelerate, decelerate, or hold position under closed-loop command. By converting the DC link energy of a shared supply module into precise motor currents, the unit provides position and velocity control for machining centers, material-handling gantries, and similar motion platforms.
The controller ties into a shared intermediate circuit that sits at 300 VDC, and it can deliver a continuous motor phase current of 25 A. Analog feedback or command loops are supported through a ±10 VDC output that is rated to drive up to 4 mA; this low load requirement simplifies interface wiring to external indicators or PLC inputs. Protective design is confirmed by an enclosure category of IP20, so the drive must be mounted inside a cabinet while still allowing tool-free access for setup. A DC-bus terminal clamp is tightened to 3 N·m, while the power output studs need 5 N·m; these torques keep conductors secure during thermal cycling. Peak motor current matches the continuous rating, so the current limit stays the same during sustained and short-duration operation.
The holding brake circuit is energized from a dedicated 24 VDC source and must be wired with conductors no smaller than 0.75 mm². Main power lugs accept that supply with a tightening force of 5 N·m, and the ready relay can switch loads up to 24 VDC, 1 A for system-level interlocks. Installation observes a maximum altitude of 1000 m, an operating range of 0 to 45 °C, and storage limits down to -30 °C. The module is 105 mm wide, 325 mm deep, and 390 mm high; at least 40 mm is kept free at the front and 80 mm above and below for convection. DC-bus leads may be extended only 1 m, and the drive should be stored or shipped without condensation.
