Product Description:
The DDS2.1-W015-DG01-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. Working with digital servo feedback, the drive closes the current and velocity loops for compatible servo motors and serves as the power stage of a modular automation axis. By switching power from the shared DC link, it creates a controlled three-phase output for accurate positioning in packaging lines, printing presses, and material-handling equipment. Its modular design allows the controller to operate alongside other drive components connected to the same power system.
The controller has a continuous, rated, and peak phase current of 15 A, allowing the output stage to support normal operation and brief acceleration demands at that level. The power section operates from a DC bus of 300 V ±15%, so the upstream supply module must keep the voltage within that range for stable operation. A dedicated channel provides a brake release voltage of 24 VDC ±10% to disengage the motor holding brake when the axis is enabled. The diagnostic electronics provide a reference of 10 VDC together with a 4 mA sink, allowing external lamps or PLC inputs to indicate drive status. Motor and encoder cables may extend up to 75 m without degrading regulation, which allows the control cabinet to be installed away from moving machinery. This cable allowance can accommodate large machines where the controlled axis is separated from the main electrical enclosure.
Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so the enclosure must provide unobstructed airflow around the controller. The permitted operating temperature ranges from 0 to 45 °C, while installation is supported at elevations up to 1,000 m. During storage, the unit can tolerate temperatures from -30 to 85 °C without loss of function. The housing has an IP20 ingress protection rating, making it finger-safe while still requiring installation inside a protected cabinet. A V24/RS-232C port supports parameter uploads and communication with compatible service equipment. The ready relay is rated for 24 VDC at 1 A and can be connected to control-system interlocks. The drive weighs 7.5 kg, which should be considered when selecting cabinet mounting hardware and structural supports.
