Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS03.2-W050-BE76-01-FW, a digital AC servo drive controller in the DDS Drive Controllers series. It receives a stabilized DC bus from a supply module and produces three-phase, pulse-width-modulated power that regulates motor speed, torque, and position in multi-axis machines such as gantries, presses, or packaging lines. As the axis amplifier, it links electromechanical motion to higher-level machine control in industrial automation. In this role, the controller converts control commands into regulated motor current for acceleration, steady speed control, and repeatable stopping behavior.

Motion commands are exchanged through the SERCOS interface, giving the controller synchronous communication with PLCs and connected drives. The fiber-optic link supports timed data exchange for coordinated motion across multiple axes. It can supply up to 50 A of continuous output current, matching the demands of mid-frame synchronous or induction motors. This current capacity supports continuous machine operation without immediate thermal derating under normal cabinet conditions. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must pull heated air past the heat sink fins. An enclosure rating of IP20 means the module is touch-safe but not sealed against dust or dripping liquids, so it must be installed inside a closed panel. The permitted ambient temperature range is 0 to 45 °C, which keeps the electronics within normal operating limits.

The drive interprets motor position through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing either encoder type to close position loops without external converters. This flexibility allows the controller to work with different motor feedback systems used in compatible drive setups. It withstands storage and transport conditions from -30 to 85 °C, and operation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level. That storage range supports warehouse handling and transport before the drive is placed in service. The unit is part of Line 03, uses Version 2, and carries Function ID Version 01.
