Product Description:
The DDS03.2-W050-BE41-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit converts DC bus energy from a supply module into controlled three-phase output for connected servo motors, synchronizing their position and velocity with a higher-level motion system. In automated assembly, packaging, and machining cells, it provides precise axis regulation, fault monitoring, and parameter storage so machinery can maintain repeatable motion during continuous duty.
Communication with the plant control network is handled through the SERCOS interface, giving the drive deterministic cycle times and standardized telegram structures. The power stage is rated for a continuous output of 50 A, allowing it to support medium-frame servomotors that need high dynamic current during acceleration. Heat generated by the electronics is removed by internal air cooling, so the unit depends on airflow inside the control cabinet rather than on an external fan. Component exposure is limited by the IP20 enclosure rating, so the device must be installed in a closed electrical cabinet. Closed-loop operation uses digital servo feedback, enabling accurate velocity and position control with encoder-based signal processing. The controller is part of Line 03, Version 2, and carries Function ID Version 01.
The secondary feedback channel accepts resolver feedback, which provides rotor position signals that remain stable in electrically noisy environments. Permitted operating temperature is 0–45 °C, storage temperature is -30–85 °C, and installation is allowed up to 1000 m above sea level. Staying within these limits helps the drive avoid thermal stress and moisture-related issues during operation and storage. This allows the controller to work with compatible motor systems that use either digital encoder data or resolver signals.
