The DDS03.2-W050-B is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a Line 03, Version 2 unit in this family, it mounts inside a control cabinet and interfaces with servo motors to regulate torque, speed, and position in automated machinery. By converting the DC-bus energy from its supply into controlled three-phase output, it works with resolver or digital encoder feedback to close the motion loop. This makes the unit suitable for conveyors, gantries, packaging axes, and other cabinet-based motion applications that require repeatable axis control.
During operation, the controller maintains a DC-bus of 300 V and draws basic logic currents of 150 mA from -15 V and +15 V rails plus 500 mA from the +24 V rail. A regulated external 24 VDC feed also enters through the auxiliary terminal, while the brake circuit releases at the same voltage within ±10%. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must be maintained for stable operation. Continuous motor current is limited to 20 A, and the drive can deliver a rated burst of 50 A for acceleration profiles. The drive includes 2 analog diagnostic outputs for scaled speed or torque signals, and parameter access is available through a 9-pin D-Sub RS-232 port.
The protective earth connection is terminated on an M5 ground stud, and the drive tolerates bus fluctuations of 300 V ±15% without derating. Resolver and digital servo feedback inputs allow either legacy or high-resolution position transducers on the same axis, which gives the controller flexibility with different motor feedback systems. For inactive periods, the unit may be stored between -30 °C and +85 °C to protect internal components. The auxiliary supply and feedback options support integration into existing DDS-based motion systems without requiring changes to the basic cabinet layout.
