Product Description:
The DDS03.2-W030-BE41-01 is a Digital AC Servo Drive Controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In multi-axis machining centers and material-handling stations, the unit converts DC bus energy into regulated three-phase power while exchanging position commands with the motion control layer. This allows servo motors to follow commanded speed, torque, and position values during coordinated machine movement. Because the control and power stages are integrated in one module, the drive can respond quickly to changing load conditions during repeated production cycles.
The controller provides a continuous output of 30 A, giving the amplifier headroom for midsize synchronous axes without thermal derating. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the module must remain inside a closed control cabinet. Thermal management relies on air drawn from inside the control cabinet, which means cabinet airflow must remain unobstructed for stable operation. The fiber-optic SERCOS interface carries real-time communication for synchronized motion and diagnostic exchange. Operation is permitted from 0 to 45 °C, which supports normal use in industrial indoor environments. Its cabinet-mounted format is suitable for systems where multiple drives share a common DC bus and are supervised by a higher-level CNC or PLC.
The feedback section accepts digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing the controller to work with more than one motor feedback format in the same platform. This is useful in installations where resolver-based motors and digital-feedback motors are used within the same machine family. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and storage or transport can occur at temperatures from -30 to 85 °C when the unit is not operating. The controller is Version 2 with Function ID 01 in Line 03. This arrangement supports use in standard DDS rack systems and matches the series layout used for coordinated axes.
