The DDS03.2-W015-BE41-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a programmable axis drive, it supplies regulated power to a matched synchronous or asynchronous servo motor and manages motion commands transmitted from higher-level automation devices. By converting input power into controlled three-phase output and monitoring motor feedback, the unit supports precise velocity and position control in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. This allows the drive to respond accurately to changing load conditions during synchronized machine motion.

The controller exchanges real-time setpoints over the SERCOS interface, so one fiber-optic ring can support coordinated operation in a multi-axis system. An internal fan uses air from inside the control cabinet, which simplifies cooling arrangements but requires reasonably clean cabinet air for dependable operation. Its continuous output capability is 15 A, allowing mid-frame DDS motors to reach rated torque without current derating under normal conditions. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so it provides finger-safe protection but no liquid sealing and must be installed inside an electrical enclosure. Reliable operation is permitted from 0–45 °C, and the drive can be mounted up to 1000 m above sea level without adaptation; at higher altitudes, reduced air density lowers cooling effectiveness.

For transport and storage, the electronics withstand temperatures from -30 to 85 °C, which helps protect the unit during non-operating conditions and unheated storage. Closed-loop control is possible with either digital servo feedback or resolver feedback, giving compatibility with high-resolution encoder systems as well as rugged analog feedback devices. The unit is part of line 03 and version 2. A front RS-232 port provides local communication access for setup and diagnostic tasks.
