Product Description:
The DDS03.2-W015-BE41-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, it supplies phase-modulated current to matched motors, translating motion commands into torque and speed that keep axes synchronized with the master control program. All setpoints and status messages pass through the fiber-optic SERCOS interface, which supports deterministic cycle times for coordinated multi-axis control.
This controller delivers a continuous output of 15 A, which is suitable for medium-power electromechanical loads. Position loops can close through digital servo feedback or resolver feedback, allowing the unit to work with either high-resolution encoder systems or legacy resolver-based motors. That flexibility lets existing machine layouts use either feedback type without forcing a single format. Thermal regulation uses air drawn from inside the control cabinet, so the drive relies on cabinet airflow rather than a separate external cooling source. Because the cooling air comes from within the cabinet, thermal performance depends on the enclosure's ventilation path and internal temperature. The enclosure is rated IP20, which helps prevent accidental finger contact while allowing dense rack installation. The platform is in line code 03 and version 2, and it carries Function ID 01.
Ambient operation is permitted from 0 to 45 °C, and the drive can be installed at elevations up to 1000 m without exceeding its stated operating limits. The altitude limit matters because reduced air density can lower cooling effectiveness, especially in tightly packed cabinets. When the unit is not powered, storage is allowed from -30 to 85 °C, which helps it tolerate seasonal temperature swings during transport or warehouse storage. These limits apply to operating and non-operating conditions only, so the surrounding cabinet still needs enough clearance for internal airflow.
