The DDS03.1-W050-DC01-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It links a motion-control processor to a compatible Indramat motor and provides the closed-loop current, speed, and position control needed in automated machinery. The compact module installs inside a control cabinet and delivers switching pulses that keep the axis aligned with the machine cycle. Its cabinet-mounted format keeps the power electronics close to the control system while preserving access to the main connections. This supports coordinated motion tasks such as indexing, feeding, and general positioning.
It exchanges commands with the host PLC through an INTERBUS-S interface, so fieldbus communication can share one twisted-pair trunk with related I/O traffic. Continuous phase current is rated at 50 A, which supports medium-power Indramat motors in sustained operation. The housing has an IP20 rating for finger-safe cabinet installation, and rotor position is returned through digital servo feedback for closed-loop control. Heat is removed by internal airflow, so the enclosure must provide a clear path across the heat sink. The drive is intended to operate in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C without derating under normal cabinet conditions.
Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level before additional cooling measures are needed. The unit can be stored at temperatures from -30 to +85 °C while powered down, which supports transport and warehouse handling. The drive is Version 1 and carries Function ID 01. It belongs to Line 03, and its standardized module format helps it fit multi-axis cabinet layouts used with other DDS components.
