Product Description:
The DDS03.1-W030-RS01-02 is a modular servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the DDS Drive Controllers series. It supplies regulated three-phase power to compatible Indramat motors and converts drive commands into controlled torque and velocity for coordinated machine motion. In automated systems, the unit serves as the link between CNC or PLC motion commands and the electrical output required by synchronous or asynchronous servo motors.
The controller communicates with the machine control system over a SERCOS interface, which uses a deterministic optical ring for real-time command and diagnostic exchange. During continuous operation, it can deliver a phase output of 30 A, so the power stage is suited to applications that require moderate continuous motor current. Cooling is provided by air drawn from inside the control cabinet, so the enclosure must support steady internal airflow across the heatsink. The housing has an IP20 rating, which helps protect against accidental contact with live parts while leaving enclosure-level protection to the cabinet. The permitted ambient operating temperature range is 0 – 45 °C, allowing the controller to run alongside other cabinet-mounted electronics when the enclosure climate is maintained.
The unit carries Function ID 01 for its assigned control configuration. The motor encoder channel accepts resolver feedback, allowing the controller to process rotor position information for closed-loop speed and position regulation. For storage, the drive should be kept between -30 – 85 °C to reduce the risk of condensation and component stress during inactive periods. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, where normal cooling performance and insulation behavior can be maintained under standard operating conditions.
