Product Description:
The DDS03.1-W030-RA02-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as the axis amplifier in modular industrial automation by receiving reference signals from higher-level motion control and supplying controlled three-phase power to matched servo motors. This arrangement allows the controller to act as the power stage between the machine control and the motor during continuous industrial duty. By regulating motor current in closed loop, it helps axes follow commanded acceleration, speed, and stopping behavior with repeatable results. The unit is intended for installation in a protected control cabinet, where it supports precise torque, speed, and position control for material-handling robots, printing webs, and conveyor modules.
The drive provides up to 30 A of regulated output current for compatible servo motor operation. It uses an analog interface, so higher-level controllers can send ±10 V or 4–20 mA command signals without a fieldbus. This signal arrangement suits systems that rely on conventional motion references instead of network-based communication. Cooling is handled by internal air cooling, which means cabinet airflow must be maintained during operation. The enclosure has an IP20 rating that helps protect against accidental finger contact with live parts, but it is not intended for liquid exposure. For motor position sensing, the controller is designed for resolver feedback, which supports stable rotor-angle detection at low speed and at standstill.
The permissible ambient operating temperature is 0 to 45 °C. For storage, the unit can remain in conditions from -30 to +85 °C when it is not in use. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and operation above that height can require derating because cooling becomes less effective. These temperature and altitude limits should be observed when the drive is mounted in enclosed cabinets that may experience internal heat rise during machine operation. The controller is Version 1 and belongs to line 03.
