The DDS03.1-W030-RA01-02-FW is a servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. Installed in a multi-axis rack, it receives a stabilized DC link from a shared supply unit and generates phase-synchronized AC for the attached motor while supervising current, temperature, and position. This allows a higher-level CNC or PLC to command torque and velocity precisely, so machine tools, printing presses, and material-handling stations maintain repeatable motion profiles and tight product tolerances. Because the DC supply is shared, the module fits cabinet layouts that group several controlled axes in one coordinated drive system.

The drive exchanges velocity or torque references through an analog interface, allowing ±10 V command signals from legacy controllers to set operating points without protocol conversion. A continuous output capability of 30 A supports medium-frame Indramat motors that need high dynamic current during rapid acceleration. Heat generated by the IGBT bridge is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air moves across the heat sink without external ducts or blowers. Rotor position returns to the drive through resolver feedback, which provides angle data with good noise immunity and permits sinusoidal commutation at low speed.
