The DDS drive controllers are engineered and produced by Indramat. They adapt to various applications with the aid of components such as the software and plugin modules. The DDS drive controllers are used in machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling equipment.
The DDS03.1-W030-RA01-01 is a drive controller in the INDRAMAT DDS series. It is a Version 1 model and has a rated current of 30A. The heat generated in this device is eliminated via heat technology. This cooling system utilizes the internal airflow within the control cabinet; hence, the drive controller is best installed in a sizable control cabinet. The control cabinet should also be IP 10 rated and thus protected from penetration by external solid objects with a diameter of 50mm or more. This DDS drive controller can only be connected with AC motors with a resolver feedback encoder. It also requires a maximum absolute air humidity and maximum relative humidity of 25g/m³ and 95%.
An ANALOG interface is the available communication module on the DDS03.1-W030-RA01-01. The ideal connection medium of the drive controller to AC motors is the Indramat motor power cable. This ready-made cable features three lines for motor power connection and can be purchased from Indramat. Alternatively, a customized connection cable can be made following the directions in the product manual. This drive controller model is IP 20 rated and has total protection against dust ingress. It is also compatible with only Indramat supply units with a controlled DC 24V voltage. Its maximum installation height is 1000m above sea level. In addition, it requires an ambient temperature of 45°C or less to operate efficiently.
