The INDRAMAT DDS drive controllers are state-of-the-art devices with extensive functionality. A configured model in this series consists of the basic unit - the drive controller, plugin components, firmware, and software modules. These drive controllers are used in machine tools, robotics, handling machines, and printing and packaging machines.
The DDS03.1-W030-DS23-02 is equipped with a SERCOS interface for a communication module. This interface offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. The DDS drive controller also employs the heat technology cooling system. As a result, it requires a sizable control cabinet with a protection rating of IP 10. This means that the control cabinet offers complete protection against penetration by extrinsic solid objects with a diameter of 50mm or more. Minimal efforts are also required during the installation of the drive controller. It has a rated current of 30A, and it requires a maximum ambient temperature of 45°C during operation.
An INDRAMAT motor power cable connects the DDS03.1-W030-DS23-02 to AC motors. It features three lines for motor power connection and one line for protective conductor connection. The drive control unit is compatible only with INDRAMAT supply units with a regulated DC 24V voltage. It has a protection rating of IP 20, so although it offers no protection against water, it cannot be penetrated by dust particles. It requires a maximum installation height of 1000m above sea level and a maximum relative humidity of 95%. In addition, in instances where this device needs replacement, its software module ensures the motor parameters can be transferred to a new unit. It is also suitable for only AC motors with a digital servo feedback encoder.
