The DDS drive controllers are designed by INDRAMAT. They have a modular design that enables them to adapt to various applications. The DDS drive controllers form rapid-response drives when combined with AC motors such as the MDD, MKD, and LAR motors. They are used in robotics, machine tools, textile machines, and handling machines.
The DDS03.1-W030-DS13-00 is a Version 1 DDS drive controller model with a rated current of 30A. It is compatible with digital AC motors with a digital servo feedback encoder. The ideal connection medium to these motors is the INDRAMAT motor power cable, which is 75m long. This motor cable features a shielded pair cable for motor temperature monitoring and a shielded pair motor brake connection. The cooling system on this drive controller is heat technology. It utilizes the airflow within the control cabinet; thus, this controller is to be installed in a large control cabinet. This cooling system may also require additional air conditioning.
A SERCOS interface is the available communication module on the DDS03.1-W030-DS13-00. It allows the operations of digital drives with SERCOS compatible controls using a fiber optic cable. Like other DDS drive controllers, this device is only compatible with INDRAMAT supply units with a regulated voltage of 24V DC. According to EN 60529, it is a product of protection class IP 20. Thus, it cannot be penetrated by external solid objects with a diameter of 12mm or more. Its control cabinet has an IP 10 rating. For efficient operations, it requires a room with a maximum absolute air humidity of 25g/m³. This drive controller also has a peak current of 15A and a maximum continuous current of 15A.
