The DDS drive controller is an innovative solution from Bosch Rexroth. The drive controller has a modular design which makes it possible to flexibly combine it with AC servo and main drives to create a compact package that utilizes a single supply unit. Combining DDS drive controllers with these AC motors from Bosch Rexroth creates rapid-response drives. These drives have broad applications, including machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.
The DDS03.1-W030-DS12-01 is a DDS drive controller model by Bosch Rexroth. It is compatible with motors that use digital servo feedback to obtain information on their position. Its communication module is the SERCOS interface, and it makes it possible to operate digital drives with SERCOS interface compatible controls via a fiber optic cable. The fiber optic cables used in this drive controller can be ordered from Indramat. Its maximum peak current is 30A, and it can be connected to an Indramat supply unit with a regulated DC 24V voltage. This drive controller requires a DC bus voltage of 300V with an allowance of +/-15%.
Cooling in the DDS03.1-W030-DS12-01 is via heat technology, where heat is dissipated within the control cabinet. This cooling method requires minimal installation effort. The device is designed to be mounted into a control cabinet with its supply unit. With a protection rating of IP 20 according to DIN 40 050, this DDS model will not admit solid extrinsic objects with a diameter of 12mm or more. It functions adequately at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 95%. It should be set up at a maximum height of 1000m above sea level.
