The DDS03.1-W030-DS01-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as the axis amplifier in modular drive racks, converting DC bus energy into regulated three-phase output for synchronous and induction servomotors used in industrial automation and material-handling stations. Because it operates from a shared DC bus in a rack system, it fits multi-axis cabinets where several amplifiers work from common supply sections. In normal operation, the controller regulates motor current so connected axes can follow commanded torque, speed, and position profiles with stable closed-loop response during transfer, indexing, and positioning tasks.

This controller communicates with the motion control system through a SERCOS interface, allowing real-time cyclic setpoint exchange and diagnostic feedback over fiber-optic cabling. It can deliver a continuous output of 30 A, so the connected motor and power wiring must be matched to that current level. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling, and cabinet airflow must move heat away from the sink area during sustained operation. Position and velocity loops close through digital servo feedback, which provides the commutation and position data required by the drive. That closed feedback path lets the controller correct axis speed and rotor position directly instead of relying only on open-loop voltage commands. The identification string includes Line 03 for the power section layout and Function ID 01 for the assigned control function set.

The unit uses Version 1 hardware. It is supplied with firmware ordered separately, so the software package can be matched to the intended machine task without changing the power section. It is therefore suitable for machine layouts that separate the power stage from the application software selection while keeping the rack structure compact and organized.
