Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS03.1-W030-DG01-00 as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. This digital AC servo drive controller installs in a control cabinet and serves as the interface between a higher-level motion board and the regulated three-phase motor windings used in automated machinery. In packaging, material-handling, and machine-tool applications, it modulates current in real time so commanded torque and velocity profiles are followed accurately. The controller works with motors that use digital position feedback, allowing closed-loop operation without external converters and supporting precise response to changing load conditions.

The drive provides a continuous output current of 30 A, supplying the motor with sustained phase current for demanding motion tasks. Heat is removed by internal air cooling; air drawn from inside the cabinet passes over the heat sink and returns to the enclosure, so cabinet temperature must be controlled separately. The housing has an IP20 protection category, which provides finger-safe access to live parts but does not protect against splashed water, so enclosure mounting is required. Installation altitude is limited to 1000 m above sea level so thermal performance and electrical clearances remain within rated limits. When the equipment is powered down, the unit can be stored or transported at -30–85 °C without damage to internal components, which supports handling through a wide range of ambient conditions.
