The Bosch DDS03.1-W030-DA11-00 is a DDS series digital drive controller. The modular drive architecture make possible flexible combinations of AC servo main drives that requires only one power supply. DDS controllers are compatible with multiple motor product lines including MDD synchronous motors, MKD synchronous motors, LAR linear motors and LAF linear inductance motors. Input voltage rating of the DDS03.1-W030-DA11-00 is 24 Volts DC. Bosch only permits use of supplies with regulated DC output. Rated output of the drive is 30 Amps. The output rating is only valid for specified ambient conditions. The ambient conditions specified for drive operation include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius and 0 to 1000 meters. The relative humidity should always be less than 95%. The drive dissipates heat inside the cabinet. The cool air inlet is at the bottom of the controller.
The warm air outlet is at the top end of the controller. For this reason large cabinets should be used. Air conditioning is also an option for maintenance of ambient temperatures. All DDS controllers include a command communication interface. There are four options for command communication including SERCOS, analog and Interbus. Command communication module on the DDS03.1-W030-DA11-00 is Analog. The DDS03.1-W030-DA11-00 also supports digital servo feedback. This feature allows controller use with servo motors. A software module stores the controller firmware. The software module installs in slot U5 of the controller basic unit. In case of controller malfunction, operators can move the software module to a replacement drive. The software module also supports the copy function allowing rapid commissioning of DDS drives. Only trained personnel should handle and operate the controller. Bosch only allows use of approved accessories with the controller.
