To create rapid-response systems, Bosch Rexroth’s DDS drive controllers can be combined with its digital AC servo motors. These include the 1MB, 2AD, MDD, MKD, and LAR motor series. The drive controllers are components of the modular DDS drive system by this manufacturer.  They also have a modular design, making them suitable for various applications.

The DDS03.1-W030-DS29-01 is a Bosch Rexroth drive controller model in its DDS drive system. It has a rated current of 30A and uses heat technology for its cooling. This means that heat generated by the drive controller is dissipated within its control cabinet. Hence, a large control cabinet is required with air conditioning. Thanks to the compact size of this unit, it can be mounted in its control cabinet with its supply unit. This control cabinet cannot be penetrated by solid objects larger than 50mm and has an IP 10 rating according to DIN 40 050. The supply unit can be any from Indramat with a regulated DC 24V voltage.

Only motors with digital servo feedback can work with the DDS03.1-W030-DS29-01 to achieve motion control. It also requires a DC bus voltage of 300V with a tolerance of ±15%. The plug-in module in this DDS model is the SERCOS interface that is used to operate digital drives with SERCOS interface compatible controls. To connect such drives to the drive controller, a fiber optic cable is used, ensuring safe and rapid signal transfer. This module also provides inputs used to evaluate reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. The ambient temperature at its operation site must not exceed 45^oC, and its maximum installation height is 1000m.
