Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W200-BE85-01-FW is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It acts as a digital AC servo drive controller between a motion control system and connected servo motors. The unit supplies regulated current, executes position loops, and exchanges real-time status data with higher-level automation controllers in factory machinery and material-handling equipment. This role lets the drive translate control commands into stable motor response for positioning and speed-regulated tasks. It is suited to automated equipment that requires repeatable axis behavior during continuous operation.
This unit can deliver up to 200 A of output current, allowing it to energize medium-to-large motors during acceleration and peak load events. Command and diagnostic data travel over the SERCOS interface, providing deterministic timing for multi-axis synchronization. The communication link supports coordinated motion updates and fast status exchange between the controller and the rest of the system. Protection is limited to IP20, so the controller has finger-safe construction but requires installation inside a closed cabinet. Heat from the power stage is removed through internal air cooling, and the controller draws cabinet air across its heat sink. Reliable operation is permitted within an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C, which suits most climate-controlled production areas. Because cooling depends on cabinet airflow, surrounding clearance and air movement remain important during installation.
Additional operating limits describe where the controller can be stored and used. Continuous service is allowed up to 1000 m above sea level, after which reduced thermal capacity must be considered. When the equipment is warehoused or shipped, components tolerate temperatures from -30 to 85 °C without damage. The drive carries Function ID version 01 and hardware version 2 for use with matching power supplies and expansion modules from the same generation. Motor position data can be processed through digital servo feedback as well as resolver signals, allowing use with different Rexroth motor families. Resolver capability also supports motors that do not use digital encoder signaling.
