Bosch Rexroth’s modular DDS drive system is composed of several high-quality components; one of these is the DDS drive controller. The creation of cost-effective, rapid-response drives is achieved when these drive controllers are combined with digital AC servo motors like the MDD, LSF, LAR, 1MB, and 2AD motors. These drives are commonly used in textile machines, robotics, printing and packaging machines, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W200-BE84-01-FW is a DDS drive controller designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features a compact build and belongs to the IP 20 protection category according to EN 60529. This indicates that solid objects over 12mm cannot penetrate it. The drive controller is designed for mounting in a control cabinet which also houses its supply unit. It can be connected to all Indramat supply units with a 24V DC regulated voltage. It also uses the heat technology system for heat dissipation, where the heat generated during the operation of the system is eliminated within the control cabinet. This cooling system requires minimal mounting and installation effort.
Inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs are provided by the SERCOS plug-in module of the DDS02.2-W200-BE84-01-FW. The module also allows digital drives with SERCOS-compatible controls to be operated using a fiber optic cable. This ensures safe and rapid information transfer within the system. Digital AC motors with resolver feedback or digital servo feedback can be connected to this DDS drive controller. It has a current rating of 200A and a designated DC bus voltage of 300V with an allowance of ±15%. Additionally, it can be used with firmware, but this must be ordered as a separate unit.
