Digital AC servo motors such as those in the MDD, 2AD, MKD, LAR, LAF, and 1MB series form rapid-response drives when they are combined with the drive controllers of the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. These drive controllers are components of the modular DDS drive system. Some of their typical applications are textile machines, robotics, printing and packaging machines, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W200-BE76-01-FW is a model of the DDS drive controllers in the Bosch Rexroth DDS drive system. It uses heat technology for its cooling, a heat dissipation method where heat is eliminated within its control cabinet. As a result, a large control cabinet must be used with air conditioning. This drive controller supports all Indramat supply units with a 24V DC regulated voltage. It can be housed with this supply unit in its control cabinet, enhancing space conservation. This control cabinet cannot be penetrated by solid extrinsic objects with a 50mm diameter or more; hence, its Ingress Protection rating per DIN 40 050 is IP 10.
A SERCOS plug-in module is present in the DDS02.2-W200-BE76-01-FW for the interaction of the drive controller with digital drives with SERCOS-compatible controls.
