The DDS drive controllers are products of INDRAMAT. They have a modular design, enabling them to adapt to various applications. These devices are combined with AC motors such as the MDD, MKD, and LAR motors to produce rapid-response drives. The DDS drive controllers are used in textile machines, robotics, printing and packaging machines, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W200-BE43-02-FW is a drive controller in the DDS series. It is a Version 1 model with a rated current of 200A. It is also compatible with motors that possess a digital servo feedback encoder or resolver feedback encoder. It connects to these motors using the INDRAMAT motor power cable, which is 75m long. This ready-made power cable features three motor power connection lines and a separate cable pair for a holding brake connection. The INDRAMAT drive controller is to be installed in a sizable control cabinet because it utilizes the heat technology cooling system. This heat dissipation method uses the airflow inside the control cabinet and may also require air conditioning.
Firmware is used in the DDS02.2-W200-BE43-02-FW, although it must be ordered as a separate unit. The firmware fixes the functions of a drive controller and is to be updated frequently to improve its performance. This drive control unit also has a SERCOS interface which offers input for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor input.
