Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W200-BE41-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It operates on the common DC bus of a modular supply unit and drives one motor axis through pulse-width-modulated power devices for closed-loop speed or position control. This arrangement suits packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment where coordinated motion is required across several axes. By combining current control and motion regulation in one module, the unit helps maintain accurate motor response during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-speed operation. Because the controller plugs into a shared backplane with companion modules, multi-axis systems can use a common power structure and an organized cabinet layout without adding separate standalone drives for each axis.
The controller can deliver up to 200 A of continuous output current, which supports medium-torque and high-inertia motors under sustained load. That current capacity also helps the drive handle repeated acceleration cycles without immediate thermal limiting. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged over a SERCOS interface, allowing fiber-optic communication with a CNC or PLC for synchronized motion commands and status updates. Thermal management uses internal cabinet air cooling, so enclosure airflow removes heat from the heat sink without external ducting. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, which helps prevent accidental contact with live parts while remaining suitable for installation inside a control cabinet.
Position feedback can be handled through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, giving the drive compatibility with either high-resolution encoder signals or resolver inputs depending on the motor and control requirements. The permitted operating temperature range is 0 to 45 °C, while de-energized storage is allowed from -30 to 85 °C. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m without current derating under the stated conditions. The unit is Version 2, which identifies this controller revision.
