Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W200-BE39-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a drive controller, it forms the interface between a higher-level motion processor and the servo motor, regulating current and velocity so that automated axes follow commanded profiles with precision. The unit is intended for cabinet installation and is commonly paired with Indramat synchronous motors to coordinate positioning, conveying, or tooling tasks in industrial automation cells.
This model supplies up to 200 A of phase current, enabling it to energize medium-power motors without saturation during acceleration or braking. Communication is handled through the SERCOS interface, so real-time parameter exchange and tightly synchronized motion are possible on fiber-optic rings. The housing meets the IP20 protection category, indicating finger-safe terminals but a requirement for installation in a closed enclosure. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, meaning cabinet air passes through the heat sink and must be directed by system fans. Because airflow passes through the drive, cabinet layout must leave a clear path for intake and exhaust air around neighboring modules. Continuous operation is specified for ambient temperatures between 0 – 45 °C, which helps the controller maintain stable performance during normal use.
Installation altitude is limited to 1000 m, so above this height reduced air density must be compensated for with additional cooling or current trimming. Feedback flexibility is provided through digital servo and resolver feedback inputs, letting the controller work with high-resolution encoders as well as rugged resolver transducers. This allows the same controller platform to support different motor sensor types in mixed-axis systems. When the machine is powered down, the unit tolerates storage environments from -30 – 85 °C without damage to electronic assemblies. The unit is Version 2 and belongs to Line 02.
