Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.2-W200-BE33-01 drive controller, a component of the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit is a digital AC servo drive controller for control-cabinet installation and supplies regulated current to synchronous motors used in indexing tables, packaging lines, and material-handling gantries. Within an automation cell, it links motion commands from a higher-level PLC to the electromechanical load and converts those commands into controlled speed and position response. This makes it suitable for single-axis stations as well as coordinated multi-axis assemblies.
Communication with the host control system occurs through a SERCOS interface, which exchanges parameter data and cyclic setpoints over a fiber-optic ring at deterministic cycle times. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so the drive circulates air from the cabinet interior and returns it to the same enclosure space. The power stage is rated for a continuous drive current of 200 A, allowing the controller to operate large torque motors without immediate derating. The enclosure has an IP20 protection category and is intended for installation in a closed control cabinet. Continuous operation is permitted from 0 to 45 °C, which suits most indoor industrial environments.
The controller supports digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, so it can work with either high-resolution encoder signals or resolver signals, depending on the motor arrangement. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and current must be reduced above that height to offset lower air density and reduced cooling performance. When the equipment is not in use, it can be stored from -30 to 85 °C without damage to internal components. The unit is version 2 and uses Function ID 01 for this drive type.
