Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.2-W200-BE32-01-FW as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series for cabinet-mounted multi-axis systems. Working with a separate power supply, the controller delivers regulated three-phase output to an attached servomotor. This arrangement separates the supply stage from the axis controller inside the cabinet. The controller is intended for precise axis control rather than direct line-side power conversion. It allows accurate velocity and position control on assembly lines, packaging stations, and material-handling equipment.
The unit communicates with higher-level PLCs through a SERCOS interface, so real-time setpoints and status words travel over a fiber-optic ring without discrete wiring. Thermal management relies on air drawn from inside the control cabinet, so heat is removed without external ducts and enclosure airflow must be considered. The power section has a continuous output capability of 200 A, enabling the drive to supply high motor current during acceleration phases and sustained load changes. Position feedback is processed through digital servo feedback, allowing the controller to use encoder data for closed-loop motion regulation and stable response during commanded speed changes. The unit is Version 2.
An auxiliary resolver feedback path is available when rugged, lower-resolution position sensing is preferred for harsh environments or spindle applications. The unit uses Function ID Version 01 and belongs to Line 02 electronics. These identifiers set the control profile and available parameter range for this drive type. This gives the controller compatibility with more than one feedback method used in industrial motion systems. That flexibility helps the drive fit applications that prioritize either fine encoder data or the simpler signal format of a resolver.
